Location

From the North

From Glasgow, Prestwick etc, take the A77 towards Ayr. Continue through to Cairnryan and just after take the left turn off to A751 signposted Dumfries and then turn left onto the A75 turning right after a few miles onto the A747 signposted Port William. At the roundabout in Port William take the second exit onto the A747 signposted Isle of Whithorn. Leave Port William on the coast road and turn off the road at the first right entrance, on the seaside immediately after you see the signpost to Barsalloch Fort (left hand side of the road). You have to drive past The Glen to reach The Haven.

From the South

Leave the M6 at junction 44 then take the A75 to South West Scotland, Dumfries, Gretna and Stranraer. Follow signs to Stranraer. At Newton Stewart leave the roundabout following signs to A714 Wigtown. Then follow the signs to Port William (B7085) you will come down the hill into Port William, take the first left and follow the road out of the Port on the coast road. (Please follow instructions above.)

Travel by Air

It takes about 2.5 hours to drive to the Haven from Glasgow Airport and about 2 hours from Prestwick Airport.

Travel by Ferry

Stranraer and Cairnryan are both about 30 minutes away from the Haven and then it is a short crossing across to Northern Ireland.
